- Do you charge Sales Tax?
We charge sales tax for merchandise ordered on this web site based on the applicable state sales tax rate and the location to which the order is being shipped… Basically if your shipping address is located in California, we will charge your local tax rate to the order. If your shipping address is located outside of California we will not charge sales tax.
- What payment methods do you accept?
All orders are processed via PayPal. You can use your PayPal account or enter your credit card information (without an account) through the secure PayPal portal. We accept all major credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.
- Do you accept orders placed outside of the US?
We sure do!* Our shipping rates are based on Priority International shipping costs. If you would like a cheaper option, please contact us about standard international rates.
*At this time our website is not set up to ship to the UK. If you are located in the UK please message us for further information before placing your order.
- How long will it take to receive my order?
We typically ship out orders 2 - 3 times a week. If you need something rushed please email us and we will do our best to accommodate. Our email is [email protected]
For Domestic Shipments:
We ship most orders via USPS Priority Mail, so depending on your location within the domestic US, packages should arrive to you within 2-3 days after you receive a shipping notification. Gift Certificates, cards, or smaller items are shipped via USPS First Class and usually take between 3-7 days to arrive (depending on your location).
For International shipments:
We ship via USPS International Priority Mail. Depending on your location delivery times may vary between 2 -4 weeks.
Please note: Customs and import duties may be applied to International orders when the shipment reaches its destination. Such charges are the responsibility of the recipient of your order and vary from country to country. Contact your local customs office for details. Shipping laws are different in each country. It is your responsibility to check with your Customs office to verify whether the country to which you are shipping permits the shipment of your products. Memento Mori Los Angeles is not responsible for any direct, indirect, punitive, or consequential damages that arise from improper international shipping practices
- Do you Accept Custom Orders?
Yes we do! Interested in a custom entomology box, or dome? Choose your own insect, background/frame or dome! Turnaround time is usually 1-3 weeks (sometimes faster depending on availability). Email us at [email protected] to get started.
- What if something is damaged in transit?
We pack our items as carefully as possible, but from time to time damage can happen. If your order arrives to you damaged please email us immediately. We will need photos of the damaged item as well as a photo of the outside of the box in order to file a claim with USPS. After the claim has been reviewed, we will do our best to replace, repair or refund your purchase. Email us at [email protected]
- What is your return and exchange policy?
Returns are accepted within 5 days for an exchange or for store credit. No refunds.
