Description
Chrisiridia ripheus or the Madagascan Sunset Moth. The colours originate from optical intrference in the iridescent parts of the wings, while the black parts are pigmented. Unlike most moths, the sunset moth is day flying and the bright aposematic colors warn predators of its toxicity.
Frame measures approx 6″ x 6″ and comes ready to hang.
