Description
Caligo illioneus or the Giant Owl Butterfly is native to Costa Rica and widespread in most of South America. The caterpillars grow on banana plants, causing the destruction of large areas of banana plantations, while the adults mainly feed on the juices of fermenting fruits.
Frame measures approx 7″ tall x 8″ did and comes ready to hang.
